Our client is a fantastic not-for-profit organisation based in Oxfordshire seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their growing team. Whilst the role will be primarily based within their Oxfordshire Operations Centre, there will be occasional travel across Lincolnshire, Wiltshire and Suffolk. Two days a week will involve working from the office or travelling within your region with the remainder working remotely.

Reporting into the Regional Finance Manager, this interesting and varied role will involve the following key responsibilities:

Assist with the production of monthly management accounts ensuring they are robust and accurately reflect current trading performance.

Assist the Regional Finance Manager in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and other ad-hoc analysis required

Provide a Business Partnering service to review the postings and work of the regional assistant management accountant and finalise the monthly management accounts as well as attend business meetings to review performance

Produce meaningful variance analysis which enables the Regional Finance Manager to understand key business issues and drivers of performance divisions within the organisation.

Work collaboratively with key business partners and stakeholders to develop successful partnering relationships

Assist the Regional Finance Manager in compiling forecasts and budgets for individual sites in a timely manner

Ensure region-specific invoicing for block contracts and supporting documentation is compiled and invoiced within specified deadlines

Liaison with Accounts Payable to understand supplier costs and commitments by home

Responsibilities

Other ad hoc financial responsibilities and tasks or investigative projects as required by the Regional Finance ManagerThe successful candidate will have the following skills, qualities and experience

Recognised Accounting Qualification or in final stages of training, with minimum 2 years’ experience in a medium sized company and management position

Preparation and presentation of management accounts, annual budgets and forecasts

Knowledge of current accounting and reporting standards

Understanding of Financial Controls

Excellent communication skills

Strong team player respectful of others

Ability to use your own initiative

Computer literate
