P&P Hotel Consultancy (UK) Limited are looking for a successful candidate who will be an excellent communicator and have strong time management skills. They must have prior experience in a similar role, excellent attention to detail as well as accuracy. The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines is essential.

General Responsibilities & Duties:

Maintaining the sales Register
Banking transactions from PDF to Excel for analysation (Payroll and Finance Dept.)
General support to the finance dept.
Provide substantial assistance for the accounts and payroll department
Weekly payroll input- starters, leavers, maternity, statutory etc.
Dealing with payroll queries from both employees and staff management
Liaising with staff in regards to payroll matters
Daily and ad-hoc reports for staff management I.e. Net pay forecast
Ability to support other staff members an being a strong team player
Ability to reconcile - wages against bank, returned wages etc.
Honour confidentiality of employees’ pay records
Maintaining office welfare in general

Experience, Skills, Attributes Required:

3-5 years account office experience, academic/practical knowledge preferred
Knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts
1 years payroll experience and familiar with payroll software’s(sage)
Immediately available
Local HA9, London.
Experience of prioritising workload and organising work load efficiently
Good communication skills and the ability to empathise with others
Motivated, a problem solver and determined
Track record of hitting deadlines and providing robust and accurate information
A good team player
Competent with Excel
Good attention to detail
Data Entry experience
Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise effectively
Preferred knowledge of payroll legislations
Accountants provide financial information about the organization to management. Accountants must apply accounting principles and handle work that is analytical, evaluative, and advisory in nature and that requires an understanding of both accounting theory and practice. The accountant also:

  • Calculate, post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records, and provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization
  • Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or receiving signatures
  • Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments
  • Assemble invoices to be completed for payment
  • Verify and calculate all extensions and totals on invoices (calculating and taking discounts when applicable),
  • Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval
  • Check vendor files for any previous payments and assign voucher numbers
  • Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files
  • Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amounts and coding per accounting policies and procedures
  • Type periodic reports and other records
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Data entry analyst: Update the system as invoices are received.
  • Payments processing analyst: Perform the daily payment of invoices.
  • Exceptions analyst: Address disputes and payment failure issues.
  • Vendor maintenance analyst: Maintain an accurate supplier database.
  • Accounts payable manager: Coordinate the team to ensure invoices are processed accurately and efficiently.
