Are you looking for a position in Finance? We have a fantastic opportunity at GCN / Global Cycling Network, a growing media business, for a Finance Assistant, reporting to the Financial Manager.

As Finance Assistant, you will gain experience in all areas of the purchase ledger, and will help to improve processes across the business as we continue to grow. You will also have the opportunity to get experience in the month end process.

The Finance team will support your development and training, and there is the potential for funded study support, including study leave. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for career development in a finance role, and would be a great entry level position for someone looking to start a long term career in finance.

The Role

Processing purchase ledger invoices ensuring they match purchase orders Set up new suppliers Reconciling supplier statements Prepare Payment runs Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of data Managing the finance email address, responding to queries in a timely manner

Skills And Requirements

Communication skillS Experience of working in a business services environment Experience of accounting systems - ideally Sage would be preferable Experience in a transactional finance role (desirable but not required) Experience working in a fast-paced team
