The successful candidate will monitor the administration of expense claims to ensure colleagues are paid correctly and ensure that procurement cards are sent out to the business in a timely manner, whilst also maintaining the system they’re kept on. You’ll ensure mailboxes are managed so that our stakeholders’ issues are resolved in a timely manner and support the group on any projects and driving improvements.
What you need to do
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including external and internal contacts, holding them accountable and ensuring compliance with requirements and deadlines
  • Drive process improvements within the Expenses team
  • Maintaining a strong control environment within the expenses team to ensure that all travel and expense spend is approved and reconciled appropriately
  • Dealing with colleague queries to ensure all our employees get their expenses back in a timely manner
  • Maintaining the expenses system to ensure all information is up to date
  • To be able to cover the work of team members, understanding unique roles they might perform and be able to carry them out effectively

What You Need To Know And Show
  • Awareness of developing and maintaining a framework of strong financial controls
  • Experience of financial accounting processes including risk and control
  • Excellent communication skills including stakeholder management, both orally and written
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent forward planning and organisational skills
  • Network and partnering skills, impact and influence
  • Enthusiasm and desire to progress
  • Studying towards a finance qualification is desirable
