OSB Group are offering a rare opportunity to join our Finance team as a Finance Apprentice. This position will give you fantastic insight and experience working with the entire Finance team, giving you a wide spectrum of knowledge across the multiple disciplines within accounting, especially learning key accounting attributes, processes, as well as developing project management skills.

What you will be doing:
On a typical day, you’ll be completing a variety of tasks to supporting our Finance Team. This includes:
  • Preparing and performing reconciliations and analysing vast amounts of data.
  • Supporting the upgrade/ implementation or patch releases of systems.
  • Supporting the undertaking of operational and financial corrections to systems.
  • Building strong relationships with the end user/customer/colleagues.
  • Understanding systems and developing processes, reducing waste by improving current processes.
  • Partaking in performance analysis, creating reports, financial models, and periodic dashboards on specific and designated areas.
  • Supporting the documentation of policies, processes, project updates, minutes and other ad-hoc documents for the wider audience.

Could you be the one?:
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to learn the department from the ground up
  • A keen interest in a long term career within Financial Services
  • Self-motivation and initiative to suggest improvements and interact confidently with all departments
  • Determination to learn and develop new skills, with the long term aim to progress
  • Minimum GSCE’s (Grade 4 or above) in Mathematics and English
