If this sounds like you, we have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Apprentice working from our Derby Training Centre to join our team on a full-time basis. This unique opportunity will enable you to understand different aspects of finance and how they all interact with the wider business, providing you with plenty of opportunities to put your learning into practice.

What will you be doing?

You will be mentored and guided by members of the Finance Team, who will empower you to grow and develop. Working independently, you’ll learn how to excel in high pressure environments.

You’ll support the wider group’ Finance Teams with the monthly production of statements, debtors’ reports, account reconciliations, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis. Combining a wide variety of live projects and off the job training whilst completing your AAT Level 2.

What we’re looking for:

  • A keen interest in a career in Finance.
  • Driven with a desire to succeed and progress.
  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at or above grade 4/C, including Maths and English.
  • Demonstrates resilience to pressure and the challenge this brings while adapting to critical work demands with flexibility.
  • Proactive desire to self-develop in skills relevant to the requirements of the role and wider business.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong, literacy, numeracy, administration, and organisational skills.
  • Fully competent in Microsoft Office Products particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Interview Information

First stage interviews will take place over telephone for approximately twenty-minutes. With a view to progress successful candidates to a face-to-face interview at our Derby Training Centre whereby you will be asked a set of competency-based questions.
