The is a central role, working for our Financial Controller and closely with our Projects Manager.
The role will heavily assist the above Managers in ensuring smooth running of the business
operations, implementing, and maintaining process control and developing efficiencies.
The ideal candidate will be a structured and efficient worker who is able to work to deadlines and
within a mixture of departments.
The role is based out of our Corsham office, although home working arrangements are encouraged.
Office attendance would be expected for minimum one day per week, with potential attendance at our
sister office in Egham, when required. The role can be full time or part-time, just include the hours you are looking to work. We are paying up to £30k FTE.
Responsibilities
Financial
We are a small function so the role has a lot of variety and opportunities to see the end to end of Finance activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Processing of Supplier invoices and Staff Expenses
- Month-end review of timesheet recordings to assist Projects Manager & Financial Controller with monthly billing
- Bank reconciliations
- VAT returns for our Irish Entity
- Credit control
- Month end and year end preparations
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Supplier and payroll payments
- Supporting the Financial Controller in monthly reporting
HR & Operations
- Maintain and update process documentation for Finance & Projects
- Support the regular maintenance of the timesheet portal and weekly customer tracker updates.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with sales and technical teams.
- Assist with IR35 assessment requirements for third party contractors
- Support with onboarding new employees
Projects
As a growing business we continue to look for ways to improve how we work so there will be an opportunity to be part of upgrading our general ledger, improvements to our time sheeting solution and improving our HR system for our employees.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a Finance or operational capacity, self-starter, thorough process thinker & strong Microsoft Office Skills. Experience of a multicurrency environment ideal but not essential.
