Here at The Sheffield College we have an opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join our Finance team at a pivotal time.

This recently created role is a fantastic opportunity to transform the existing financial reporting at the College, and to support the finance team by developing existing systems and being a point of expertise for financial systems across the College.

You will be reporting to the Head of Finance and be a key member of the finance leadership team.

Key Duties of the role include:
Understanding existing methods of extracting information from the Agresso ERP system, and how these can be improved with better utilitsation of system functionality

Overhauling existing financial reporting spreadsheets which require manual input, to increase speed and accuracy of production

Developing a financial dashboard for use by senior management in the College

Working collaboratively with other teams to ensure data consistency in reporting across the College

Becoming a centre of expertise for the Agresso system for users across the College

Leading training and upskilling of the finance team in terms of systems knowledge

Understanding current financial transaction processing ways of working, and making these more efficient by utilising the Agresso system more effectively

Agreeing improved processes with stakeholders and leading the roll out and training across the College

Key requirements for applicants are:
Understanding of database applications and a working knowledge of SQL

Experience of working with Finance software/databases

Able to understand client requirements for information and organise, analyse and present complex data in a meaningful way

Able to prioritise and plan on a long term basis in a fast paced and demanding environment

Able to demonstrate a solution focused, can do attitude

Experience of working on large-scale and complex IT/data projects
