Finance Analyst

We are recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join our Business Services Centre in Salford Quays. This is a new role coming into the Service Centre integrating new tasks from the Project Management Office, you will be required to actively communicate regular status check ins with management in London.

Working within the BSC Digital Technology team, you’ll work directly with IT Technology project leads, ensuring they work to budget and that all the costs are reflected and presented back to the steering committees accurately.

You will also take the lead in driving performance and standards, working to designated time frames, actively driving efficiency and value within a robust and controlled environment.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Supporting with the monthly finance cadence
• Working closely with budget owners to raise POs and goods receipt invoices
• Working with the Central Program Management team and Finance Managers, ensuring timely actioning of finance processes
• Maintaining cost trackers in Excel
• Downloading and summarising in Excel data on what teams have delivered

Key experience:

• Attention to detail with a knowledge of fundamental accounting principles
• Excellent organisational skills
• Previous experience in a controls environment
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• A high level of Excel proficiency
• A continuous improvement attitude to ensure that services are being delivered in the most effective way, putting the customer at the heart of everything you do
• Experience of using SAP and PO Management systems is desirable
