Finance Analyst - Oxford Circus

Working in London a Finance Analyst is required on a 12 month contract basis to work for a global entertainment company.

Please note the candidate can be based anywhere in the UK but would need to travel into the London office on occasion.

Daily Rate: £300 - £350 per day (Inside IR35)

What you’ll be doing:

• Accurately maintain Global Marketing team budget trackers and clearly present back to non-financial stakeholders, post-month end and in-line with tight deadlines.
• Business partner marketing budget holders through monthly meetings to ensure forecasts and actuals are accurate ahead of key submission deadlines
• Submit accurate rolling forecasts into various planning tools within tight deadlines.
• Confidence to question Global Marketing teams on commercial variances between actuals and forecast
• Prepare and run monthly Global Marketing hub reports for actuals and commitments versus budget/forecast for marketing finance and global marketing teams. Review figures with Marketing business partners where applicable.
• Be able to provide insight and commentary on variances between Budgets & Forecasts in a timely manner.
• Assist the Group Manager in review of the data and presentation to leadership.
• Drive the correct recognition of costs across product verticals and GL accounts by maintaining guidelines and running training session with key members of marketing teams.
• Support Central Finance teams with Marketing specific queries.
• Clearly explain accounting principles to non-financial teams to ensure budgets are accurately represented.
• Co-ordinate Global Marketing budget/forecast processes ensuring deadlines are communicated and templates are issued and collated and uploaded into the system in a timely manner.
• Review monthly Marketing and Marketing Overhead expenditure to support the Accounting team with month end deliverables.
• Ad-hoc set up of internal orders and preparation of marketing recharges for accounting team to post.

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 1-2 years relevant PQE in a finance function and of working with commercial teams or business.

Preferred Qualities: e.g.

• Previous business partner experience in Sales/Marketing.
• Previous Management accounting experience or proven track record of similar roles/tasks in Global / Pan regional company.
• Organised self-starter, with drive and ambition who thrives under pressure, and is capable of confidently working alongside the most senior stakeholders across the wider business.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills. At least intermediate level of Excel competency.
• Good time-management and organisational skills to work within an often time pressured environment (month, quarter, and year ends).
• Attention to detail, commitment to accuracy & adherence to deadlines.
• Systems literate - ideally experience of SAP, Hyperion/Anaplan.
