What are we looking for?

As a key member of the Finance Team and reporting directly to the Head of Finance you will work within a small Finance team to ensure the effective and efficient administration of Victim support Scotland’s finances, finance procedures and systems, ensuring the optimal use of all resources to allow VSS to achieve its strategy and organisational objectives and longer term financial sustainability.

Key duties will be to provide information to VSS colleagues, to ensure the best contract deals for goods and services, to keep maintain databases to allow management information to be produced, to process payroll internally and ensure employees are paid accurately and on time and to assist the Head of Finance in the management of the Victims’ Fund (VF) project.

Who are you?

You will be someone who enjoys the variety of working across a number areas of finance and enjoys balancing multiple priorities whilst maintaining quality of output. You will be a self-starter, organised and have a high level of attention to detail. You will be a strong communicator and able to converse with all levels within the organisations. You will have a minimum of two year’s post qualification experience in a finance role, having undertaken a finance or accounting qualification (HND or above) or equivalent relevant experience, ideally including payroll. Importantly, you will be someone who is honest and has a high level of integrity.
