Field Service Engineer - Scotland

Field Service Engineer to join a global industrial automation innovator and visit a broad range of customer’s production environments across Scotland/Northern England.

The role will suit a highly customer focused mechanical and/or electrical engineer who enjoys visiting different sites, building relationships, and solving technical problems.

The Opportunity

After comprehensive initial training, the Field Service Engineer visits food, beverage, and other packaged goods production companies to install products, diagnose and solve problems, and train customers.

The Field Service Engineer role offers huge variety as you drive across a large territory (averaging one overnight stay away per week), meet new people, build lasting customer relationships, and make a real difference to business success.

The Ideal Candidate

• Hands-on mechanical and/or electrical engineer with equipment installation and maintenance experience (industrial production environments may be advantageous)

• Highly customer focused with great communication skills and a proactive approach to spot and recommend improvements that positively impact customers

• Ideally based in Glasgow, Edinburgh or Stirling (Scotland central belt area), and flexible to drive widely across a large territory, with occasional overnight stays away from home
