Job Description


Summary:

Maintenance of the Company Products installed on both the Company & Clients sites. Carry out maintenance, repair, calibration, and qualification of environmental (ICH) and refrigerated stability chambers within the pharmaceutical sector in line with required maintenance requirements. This will include fault finding and ensuring satisfactory fault rectification, carrying out scheduled maintenance and calibrations, annual validations whilst complying with all Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure all equipment is left running within the required specifications. Completion of service, single point calibration and/or validation of SBS stability storage equipment on both the Company and Clients sites. Restock of the ‘Service stock parts’ retained on the designated service vehicle, be a part part of the Field Service ‘out of hours / on call rota’ and be able to respond to site visits both in the UK & Ireland as required. Travel to all sites to complete validation / service tasks. Whilst our core business is Bio Scientific Stability Storage Equipment, experience of Network /Access Control and Software (Rotronic) would be a distinct advantage.


Duties:


Key responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

  • Carry out maintenance and validation of Company products on our own sites or installed on clients’ sites in accordance with the Company PMI and Validation Procedures / SOP’s.
  • Carry out of hours weekend and bank holiday emergency site visits on a rota basis
  • Restock the ’service stock parts’ as applicable on the designated service vehicle in order to be able to respond to and complete emergency repairs to the installed equipment.
  • Ensure that the ’installed equipment’ is operating within the defined limits and that all Planned Maintenance is completed in accordance with the schedules issued.
  • Ensure that all Emergency Service work is completed in a timely manner maintaining the safe operation of the installed equipment.
  • Ensure that all Validation work is completed in a timely manner maintaining the specification of the installed equipment.
  • Complete all ’service reporting documentation’ (both verbal and written) to ensure both the client and the Field Services Team Leader are informed of the equipment status and any further actions which may be required (including any replacement parts used / required)
  • Complete all ’validation reporting documentation to ensure both the client and the Field Services Manager are informed of the equipment status and any further actions which may be required, including any service work required and re-validation of specification
  • Complete all works in accordance with the Company Quality Policy ensuring timely communication with the QA department highlighting any concerns which may not be covered by the documented system.
  • Complete all works in accordance with the Company Health and Safety Policy ensuring the safety of themselves and others in addition to highlighting any concerns which may not be covered by the documented system.
  • Ensure that all appropriate tools and equipment are maintained in a usable and safe condition in accordance with Company policy and statutory legislation.
  • Work in accordance with the Company Risk Assessments and Standard operating procedures (Method statements) and highlight any concerns which may not be covered by the documented system.
  • Adopt and develop a flexible working approach in order to ensure that all activities are completed in an efficient / timely manner.
  • Fully document via the ECN system any changes to the manufacture data (parts list / drawings to correct / maintain the manufacture data.
  • Manage travel arrangements to optimise time available for site attendance within cost parameters agreed with Field Service manager

Company Duties:

  • To comply with all quality control procedures to support maintenance of the Source BioScience’s Quality Management System.
  • To comply with safe working practices in accordance with Company safety policies.
  • To participate in the Annual Joint Staff Review process, in accordance with Company Policy.
  • To perform any other duties as may be reasonably required commensurate with grade and experience.
  • Attend any training courses – opportunities as appropriate to role or as reasonably requested by Line Manager.

Qualifications

  • A good level of prior experience in a similar Field Service role.
  • A recognisable qualification in refrigeration or an electrical discipline
