Clearwell Mobility is the South East’s leading retailer of mobility aids and disabled adaptations. Established in 2004, we have 12 showrooms across Sussex, Surrey and Kent. We are now recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join the engineering team covering this area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Servicing and repairs to mobility products such as powered wheelchairs and scooters in the field
  • Installation, servicing and fault finding on stairlifts
  • Installation of access ramps
  • Follow all systems and procedures correctly, effectively and consistently
  • Work with the manager to deliver relevant KPI’s

  • Your Qualities
    • A technical background or interest is a must
    • The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to work out the underlying cause of equipment faults.
    • Experience of basic electrical circuits and good attention to detail.
    • Ability to work flexibly and to work well on your own initiative.
    • Great communication skills, particularly when dealing with our elderly customers
    • A team player with the ability to promote and help build a positive work environment

  • You don’t need to have mobility experience as we provide full training via manufacturer approved courses.

  • You will be required to work 40 hours a week Monday-Friday 8.45am-5.15pm (30 min break) Once fully trained, you will also provide out of hours cover for stairlift customers (emergency response only) during evenings (5.15pm-9pm) and weekends (9am-9pm) on a rota basis for which a bonus is paid.

    The role location is listed at our head office but you will normally travel from home to appointments. We ask that you be located within 60 minutes drive time of our head office. This role will require a basic DBS check (which we will request on your first day) and you must hold a full, clean driving licence.
