Field Service Engineer

Your duties may vary from time to time. They will include, but not be limited to the following: -

· Servicing, overhauling and fault-finding tasks on plant and equipment both at our workshop and

on-site (assuming a lead role on site)

· Assist with testing and commissioning plant and equipment both at our workshop and on-site

· Carry out operator training with respect to operation/maintenance/fault finding both at our workshop and on-site

· Process and functional testing of both new and existing plants and equipment

· Carrying out pre-site work risk assessments/method statements and post-site work reporting

for routine site visits

· Carrying our water analysis, both in laboratory and on-site

· Handling technical and operational questions from both internal and external sources

· Installation of new water treatment equipment on site

Additional Duties

· Assist with all aspects of the manufacture, or new water treatment equipment

· Assist with preparation of Operation and Maintenance Manuals for plant and equipment

· Assist in the day to day running of new plants spares and service contracts

· Assist with the preparation of quotations for new plants spares and service

· Inspection of equipment on receipt at our works and at suppliers works

· Any other reasonable tasks that may be requested to suit the needs of the Company

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

If you think it’s the kind of challenge you would enjoy, you must:

  • Have previous experience as a field service engineer
  • Have experience of maintaining and servicing water treatment plant and equipment
  • Have experience in a service/maintenance role
  • Have experience of conducting site surveys
  • Have experience of conducting inspections and testing of equipment such as pumps/valves etc.
  • Have experience of report writing at client sites
  • Formal engineering/maintenance qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Hold or capable of achieving the required offshore medical certification and survival training
  • Full clean driving licence to Category B.
  • Capable of achieving National Vetting Service, Security Clearance to SC level.
