Viberoptix Ltd is an exciting new telecommunications company incorporated January 2020. We deliver frontline services to fibre network providers across the UK and Ireland.

We are searching for a Field Planning Supervisor to join our Field Planning team.

You will work in a friendly and progressive environment with opportunities for personal and professional development.

The Role:

You will be responsible for supporting the manager in supervising the field planning team, ensuring they are aware of job expectations and have adequate tools, equipment and support to perform their job roles. You will also carry out field planning activities in line with the field planners.

Responsibilities:

· Supervising the field planners and surveyors, ensuring support is provided

· Leading and mentoring the team, identifying training gaps and ensuring training is provided

· Provide technical advice when required

· Carrying out field planner / surveyor duties

· Work closely with desktop planners, ensuring smooth transition of information and maintaining open communication at all times

· Progress reporting on planning work activities

· Ensuring that planning requirements within specified geographic regions are carried out to standard and deadline, raising any concerns immediately

· Good understanding of build disciplines - including all accompanying documentation for utility stats, street gazetteer, detailed network plans with work point instructions, CDM, BoM, etc

· Highlight and escalate major design variances to the planning base

· Flexible approach in dealing with amendments to planned information

· Ensure accurate completion of all planned submissions and work is completed on time

· Become proficient to highlight and escalate major design variances

· Liaising with members of the public and obtaining wayleaves

· Assist with streamlining processes and ensure team is trained on new information / processes

· Adherence to health and safety regulations

The Person:

· Experience in a similar role

· Experience of supervising a team is desirable

· The ability to motivate and supervise a successful team to deliver the highest standards

· Proven ability to build strong relationships

· Excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills

· Experience of using Microsoft Office

· GIS/Autocad knowledge

· Full valid driving licence
