Farming support officer needed in Stafford ref1411

Full time hours on a temporary basis.

£27000-£32000pa

We are looking for 4-6 month support from 1st July to help us work with farmers and other land managers in Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to deliver a new farm support programme.

The principal duties include:

• providing advice to farmers and land managers about the programme
• supporting potential applicants through the application process
• supporting a panel to judge applications.

Experience and skills required include:

• Considerable experience of working with farmers and land managers
• Good knowledge and understanding of conservation, land management and access issues
• Good knowledge and working experience of existing agri-environment support.

A local knowledge of Cannock Chase would be an advantage.
