Farm Worker

Family farm now seeking a skilled farm worker to join the team. This is a full time position with overtime available during busy periods (eg. Harvest)

Joining our team you will be split between delivering hay/straw/shavings to equestrian customers as part of one of our diversification businesses and working on our family farm.

Primarily you will be required as a delivery driver but once all deliveries are done for the day the job really opens up. Opportunities for tractor driving, carting, hay making and general farm work as well as working with our herd of Longhorn cattle.

Included with this position is ongoing training and development provided with excellent earning potential!

Candidates must:

  • Hold a Valid UK Driving License enabling them to drive a car/tractor on the highway
  • Have arable farming experience
  • Have Knowledge of the safe operation of a tractor including ability to carry out daily visual checks and regular inspections
  • Be punctual, reliable & well mannered
  • Be able to confidently liaise with other staff members & customers
  • Be willing to work long & varied hours if required
  • Be self-motivated & able to use their own initiative
  • Take pride in their machinery & work
  • Have Good understanding of English
  • Be highly safety conscious

Experience:

  • Tractor driving: 1 year (required)
  • farming: 1 year (required)
  • Arable farming: 1 year (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From £27,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability
