We are looking for an experienced manager to join our Farm Shop team. You will have a real passion for fresh and local produce and will be able to convey this enthusiasm to customers and staff alike as well as being confident, self-motivated and reliable with a keen eye for attention to detail.

This is a unique and exciting position for a highly motivated manager to be an ambassador for our business. You will have enthusiasm to take responsibility and ownership in the running of the shop and will have a significant impact on the future success of the business.

Responsibilities

• Leading, motivating and developing your small team
• Plan staff rotas and holidays
• Develop a culture of consistently exceeding customer expectations
• Recruiting and training new staff
• Stock ordering and resulting paperwork via our EPOS system
• Food stock management
• Ensure all health and safety, environmental health, trading standards and any other regulations are adhered to
• Maximising retail sales opportunities
• This is very much a hands-on role and general duties, serving and cleaning are a necessity of the job
• Visual merchandising of shop displays

You will:

• Be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills in a previous role
• Be friendly and a people person with exceptional customer service skills who will lead their team to achieve exceptional levels of customer experience
• Have well developed organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and at the same time have keen attention to detail
• Have a ‘can-do’ attitude
• Be computer literate
• Have experience of dealing with people and leading by example and show to have the ability to drive the team to success

Experience of food retail and product merchandising is desirable

Hours: 41½ hours, 5 days per week. The shop is open Monday – Saturday and you will be expected to work every Saturday.
