Job description

Are you an experienced Children and Families Worker? Brilliant! We would love you to work in a Child Protection Locality Social Work Team in Wakefield (WF1).

Your core duties will include assisting qualified social workers in working with vulnerable children and families, undertaking direct work with children, parenting work and ensuring that referrals are made for appropriate services and services. You will be responsible for the Safeguarding of Children and Young People and understand the essential needs both physically and emotionally of both children and family.

Core working hours are 8.30 am to 5pm, though some flexibility is required.

- Requires 2 years experience with working with children or children and their families who are experiencing difficult situations.

- Drivers and use of vehicle is essential for the role.

- Ability to build and form effective working relationships with families and professionals.

- NVQ Level 3 equivalent or the desire to work towards.
