Are you experienced in transformational change and enhancing services for Children and Families?In this varied role, you will oversee the Start for Life and 5 Years Plus offers within our Family Hubs with a focus on referral pathways for families, managing staff who work with families and in the community as well as developing and coordinating our services for children and families.You will work as part of a team to understand the needs of families and their communities and to deliver services that address these needs and to develop effective relationships with key partners to support the delivery of Family Hubs.Transformation of Children’s Centres to Family Hubs is a key role and linking with partners both internally and externally to ensure we meet the expectations set by the DFE & DHSC. As such this is an exciting time to be joining our team.This post will be key in supporting all families including those from our most seldom heard communities/families in increased access to support and community engagement. The role will also support the developments identified from the Early Help System Guide.We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. All successful candidates will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.This role will require proven experience in supporting families/communities.Please refer to Role Profile for more informationRole ResponsibilitiesYou will need to:
  • To supervise and line manage a team of practitioners and Family Hub coordinators working across the age range delivering a range of targeted group work and outreach services to young children and their families.
  • To work innovatively to develop solutions to often complex challenges to ensure the continued delivery of key services within the hubs across the borough; flexing and utilising resources and capacity to meet the required needs of the business.
  • To work collaboratively with the Early Help team to ensure appropriate step up/down pathways are in place to ensure families receive the right support at the right time
  • To provide high quality supervision and line management
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with wider services to ensure the hub offer is suitable for children and young people.
