You must have an excellent attention to detail, and are dedicated to ensure that all things Fair Payments are completed both in a timely and accurate manner.Working closely with the Fair Payments Manager, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Separating income from all client safeguarded accounts each day, in order to avoid commingling of funds. Ensuring that this is either accurate or has a logical approach
  • Ensuring that all client fund liabilities (card balances) are safeguarded within the designated safeguarded client accounts at all times, with appropriate reconciliations/rational in place for any timing differences
  • Ensuring that all currency reconciliations are completed accurately and all income is disbursed accordingly
  • Ensuring that all Mastercard invoices are paid in good time and any unrelated costs to Fair Payments are recharged accordingly
  • Assisting the Fair Payments Finance Manager to ensure sufficient capital adequacy is in place at all times
  • Ensuring that the safeguarding ‘Issuing rec’ is completed daily with current exchange rates and any issues with regards to safeguarding are reported straight away
  • Assisting the Fair Payments Finance Manager to ensure that the Fair Payments safeguarding policy is always kept up to date
  • Keeping up to date with any regulatory changes, FCA and Mastercard
  • To work alongside the Fair Payments Manager, ensuring that Fair Payments Ltd management accounts are completed accurately and in a timely manner each month
  • Posting accruals, recharges and any other standard or recurring monthly journals
  • Consolidation of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow management
  • Variance analysis and reporting
  • Asset register maintenance
  • To assist the Fair Payments Manager during external company audits, both Financial and Safeguarding
  • To suggest changes and improvements to procedures
  • To implement any new processes and improvements to existing processes, in order to ensure that all elements are fully reconciled accurately and efficiently
  • To attend training courses and meetings as required
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time by the Fair Payments Finance Manager

We operate a hybrid working arrangement where possible, which means that for some roles you will be able to work remotely for some days of the week. However, we still want employees to collaborate in person at both our London and Chester offices, and therefore, candidates will need to still be a comfortable commuting distance from either location for the days you are required to work from or come into the office.
