The Faculty of Science and Engineering Research and Impact Team provides a high level of professional services support to the development, implementation and maintenance of the Faculty¿s research and impact activity.

Working with colleagues across the Faculty and Directorates, you will play a crucial role in developing and embedding strategies and mechanisms for demonstrating research impact from across Science and Engineering disciplines as part of pre-award processes. You will communicate research and knowledge exchange funding opportunities to colleagues; stimulate and promote new ideas for enhancing the interdisciplinary nature and success of our funding applications; develop mechanisms for ensuring that research funding data is accurately captured as part of Research Excellence Framework (REF) exercises. You will also contribute to the development of policy and procedures to optimise funding in line with institutional research income targets and service relevant committees and networks. You will become an expert in the requirements of key funders for the Faculty and in the activities and capabilities of our Schools/Departments. You will work independently but within a framework of support roles across the University, planning your own workload in collaboration with the other post holders in the Faculty R & I Team. You should have a scientific background, as evidenced by a degree, equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience.
