As a growing business, a number of exciting opportunities are available to join Clark Door’s talented Factory team. The ideal candidates will have relevant experience, a positive can-do attitude and be committed to delivering high quality manufacturing.

Below is a breakdown of current factory vacancies available with a summary of key requirements/responsibilities:

Fabricator / Welder / Sheet-Metal Worker

  • Fabrication & MIG welding of steel components ranging from 2mm – 20mm thick

(Minimum of 3 years’ experience required).

  • Fabrication & TIG welding of steel & stainless-steel components ranging from 1mm – 10mm thick (Minimum of 3 years’ experience required).
  • Operation of CNC machinery – plasma, press-brake, guillotine.
  • Operation of general machinery – guillotine, folder, steelworker, pedestal drill.
  • Operation of hand / power tools including drills, grinders, cutting torches, and other tools needed based on the job requirements.
  • Interpreting complex engineering drawings to fulfil job requirements.

Door Constructor – Assembly worker

  • Operation of hand / power tools including drilling, tapping, grinding, cutting and other operations needed based on the job requirements.
  • Operation of general machinery – guillotine, folder, steelworker, pedestal drill.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings to fulfil job requirements.

Door Constructor – Joiner

  • Operation of joinery shop equipment including; table / cross-cut saws, planer/thicknesser, spindle moulder, chain-mortise.
  • Operation of hand / power tools including drilling, tapping, grinding, routering and other operations needed based on the job requirements.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings to fulfil job requirements.

Painter / Powder-Coating Operative

  • Operation of paint-shop equipment including spray guns, compressors, powder-coating plant.
  • Operation of hand / power tools including drills, sanders, grinders, and other equipment based on the job requirements.
  • Experience in use of hazardous substances.

Successful candidates for any of the above roles will also be expected to:

  • Mark up and label components to a high degree of accuracy
  • Set-up and lay out of components using jigs and templates
  • Work effectively either independently or as part of a team
  • Be quality conscious with an eye for detail
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work in other departments when required
  • Be reliable, punctual and willing to work overtime to meet business needs
