Ideal Recruit are working with a leading Manufacturing organisation in Telford who is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and professional Factory Supervisor to join the team on a full time, permanent basis.

The Operations / Factory Manager will be responsible for the smooth running of the manufacturing function within ParAid Textile Services.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the production process and produce the production schedule
  • Ensure the production process is cost effective
  • Ensure that products are produced on time and are of excellent quality
  • Calculating human and material resource requirements
  • Estimate costs and set quality standards
  • Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules where necessary
  • Selection and maintenance of of equipment
  • Monitoring product standards and implement quality control programs accordingly
  • Liaise between external/internal departments eg – customers, suppliers, managers
  • Work closely with managers to implement the company policies and goals
  • Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
  • Supervise and motivate team workers
  • Review employee performance
  • Identify training needs

Skills

  • Confident communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong Administration and organisational skills

Essential/Desirable

  • Minimum of 2 years experience, preferably focussed in a Textiles Industry (Desirable)
  • Background in production and process (Essential)
  • Management or supervisory experience (Essential)
  • Business administration software skills and experience
  • A good standard of education (GCSE or equivalent) with a focus on Manufacturing and / or Business Administration
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety principles and policies
