£23,000 a year (£11.95ph)

Monday to Friday, 6am to 2:30pm

We are currently recruiting for a Facilities/Yard Operative at a large manufacturing company based in Crediton, Devon. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager onsite, you will be responsible for maintenance checks throughout the site, whilst ensuring all facilities are well kept and departmental stock levels are maintained.

You will be joining a small onsite team and work cohesively to ensure the site is well maintained and presented at all times.

As a Facilities Operative your duties will include:

• Ensuring that the sites yard is organised, maintained and well presented.
• Liaising with all departments, removal of waste, bailing, separating of waste for recycling.
• Departmental and facilities checks to include; Fire Extinguishers, Fire Alarms, Meter Readings
• Ad-hoc additional facility maintenance and repairs as requested

Facilities Operative Requirements:

• Be methodical and ensure operating procedures for the stores are enforced at all levels.
• Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team
• Willing to learn and show commitment and enthusiasm
• Respects internal and external customers, and have good communication skills
• Driving Licence – Desirable
• You may have previous experience with grounds and yard maintenance, be DIY minded or have experience within waste maintenance – if so, this is an ideal opportunity for you.

Working Hours & Pay:

• Monday to Friday
• 6am to 2:30pm
• £23,000 per year (£11.95ph)

Operate within the confines of company policy and procedure requirements, including integrity and confidentiality in respect of the business.
