West Lancashire Borough Council own and manage circa 6500 homes across the Skelmersdale and Ormskirk areas. Our Property Services Team manage the delivery of Responsive Repairs, Voids, Compliance, and Investment works and Facilities Management across the council’s buildings.
As Facilities Manager you will play a key role in working collaboratively within the Property Services team. You will be responsible for the management of all corporate buildings and structures within the Council’s remit, including the procurement of contractors to maintain all buildings and ensure adhere to compliance. You will be experienced in health and safety and play a key role in ensuring all buildings adhere to health and safety guidelines.
The post holder will be high performing, a team player and customer focussed. An inspiring leader, it is key that you are able to motivate a team, work collaboratively to deliver corporate objectives and embed organisational values with your team.
You will liaise with all stakeholders internally and externally to the council ensuring that all works are carried out within the terms of the contracts, and the contract performance is within the targets outlined and demonstrates value for money and high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved.
The post holder will use established key performance indicators to drive efficiencies, and monitor contractor performance to continually improve service.
