Facilities Manager - £45k-£55k - West Yorkshire - Manufacturing, Food, FMCG, Pharma

My client is a leading manufacturing company based in the West Yorkshire area who are looking for an experienced facilities manager to join there organisation on a permanent basis. The site is expanding over the next 12-24 months to include a range of new buildings and space. They are looking for someone who is driven to help develop site strategies around facilities on going expansions and negotiation of external contracts. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background ideally with a degree or equivalent experience and will have worked in facilities within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities;

  • Deliver site plan and strategy in line with the businesses long term goals
  • Manage maintenance of site services (Water, steam, electricity, waste)
  • Work closely with the project teams to develop project strategy and equipment maintenance strategy
  • Ensuring site EHS strategy is developed and always adhered to by both internal and external personnel
  • Develop site sustainability strategy
  • Work strategically with multiple different stakeholders across site working closely with the project engineering manager to deliver and manage key projects
  • Working closely with external partners and contractors agreeing contractors and monitoring external performance

Requirements;

  • Ideally degree qualified or similar in an engineering discipline
  • Recognised EHS qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH are desirable
  • Experienced working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ideally experienced in highly regulated industry such as food, pharma, chemical or FMCG
  • Experienced in managing people and policies
  • Experience working with external contractors and partners is a must ideally experience agreeing contracts
