Winners Recruitment, representing a prominent Cornish Tourist Attraction and Production Facility, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to join their site team and play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing their operations.

Position: Facilities Maintenance Manager
Location: near Truro, Cornwall
Salary: £35,000 to £50,000 per year, DOE

About the Company:

Our client is a well-established family-run visitor attraction and production facility near Truro, renowned for its diverse range of products, which include ciders, wines, preserves, and spirits. Our client has expanded significantly and boasts widespread distribution across major supermarket chains and wholesale partners. We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to join their team. This will be a hands-on role, line-managing the Maintenance Builder, overseeing, coordinating and carrying out facilities maintenance duties, with a strong bias towards electrical facilities maintenance and building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee refurbishment, renovations, and ongoing improvement project with a hands-on approach.
  • Line manage the Maintenance Builder and on-site Cleaner.
  • Implement proactive building maintenance plans to ensure all structures are maintained to a high standard.
  • Manage the maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain and enhance the presentation of the grounds to provide an exceptional brand experience.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and oversee routine servicing and testing.
  • Manage cleaning, waste disposal, catering, parking, and security operations.
  • Negotiate with contractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Develop plans for future developments aligned with business strategy.
  • Monitor staff performance and lead improvement initiatives.
  • Respond to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.

Ideal Requirements:

  • Previous experience in building/site management or foreman roles.
  • Qualified Electrician highly desirable
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in report writing and presentation.
  • Relevant professional trade qualification and/or degree in a related field.
