Facilities Maintenance Assistant

Join the UK market leader in manufacturing and distribution of their products nationwide both direct to store and home. Working with the Operations Manager and Senior Maintenance Engineer responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance of the site. Ensuring ALL site facilities is maintained to the highest standard with focus on maximising up time and compliance to Health and Safety regulations.

Salary: Circa £20,500

Due to location transport needed.

Main roles & responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Senior Maintenance Engineer in maintaining the day-to-day facilities maintenance of the site. Ensuring ALL site facilities are maintained to the highest standard and compliance to Health and Safety regulations.

  • Working closely with the Senior Maintenance Engineer taking responsibility for the control of the critical onsite Facilities PPM schedules and ensuring compliance.

  • Working within a Planned Facilities expenditure budget ensuring in line with expectation and processes are followed correctly.

  • Carrying out Facilities inspections in line with regularity requirements.

  • Ensure all critical Facilities maintenance spares are in stock in order to minimise downtime.

  • Supporting the site in ensuring all mandatory Health and Safety Facilities inspections assigned are completed in line with compliance.

  • Ensure the Facilities Maintenance housekeeping is maintained to the highest 5S standard.

The ideal candidate:

  • Able to use own initiative, make effective decisions and judgements when required.

  • Able to communicate with internal departments at all levels.

  • Confident in delivery of Maintenance excellence and performance.

  • Able to Identify and assess opportunities for Operational Improvement.

  • Use IT tools relevant to role and support for Health and Safety Compliance Management.

  • To act in line with the Company values and carry out any other duties as reasonably requested.
