To provide a reception service to all customers, contractors, and colleagues in line with our Service Level Agreement. Work with the management team and other team members to provide a full reception service.
Here at UPP we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities / Front of House Assistant to join our team.

The Front of House Assistant will be responsible for looking after the Reception Desk and the helpdesk monitoring system for reactive and planned maintenance work.

This is a permanent, part- time position working from 12pm to 8pm Tuesday to Saturday. The salary is £26,000 per annum.

Role responsibilities include:
  • Provide an excellent and comprehensive reception service to the residence and to the offices; keep records of all visitors, contractors and issue keys when required
  • Assist the relevant manager(s) in the co-ordination of all on-site activities and day to day administration plus complete all regular reporting
  • Carry out regular walks of the residence and grounds, monitoring and reporting any security/safety issues to the relevant manager
  • Monitor the conduct of students, encouraging reasonable and fair behaviour, reporting any breach of the Code of Conduct and license agreement
  • Manage and monitor out of hours access to the residence, ensuring compliance with fire, health & safety procedures and any relevant residence instructions
  • Liaise, as necessary, with other UPP staff, university clients, sub-contractors, residents and conference delegates

We are looking for you to have experience in a similar role and environment with great communication and organisation skills, along with an attention to detail and the passion to work as a team to do an excellent job.

You will also be flexible to work (with notice) additional hours when the need arises, especially during the main student arrival and departure weekends.
