We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager that will be responsible for maintaining IRIS buildings throughout the UK. The successful candidate will perform various minor repairs and small installations at multiple location and oversee works as requested by sites once costed and approved, while coaching and training other facilities team members in M&E maintenance regimes.

Main responsibilities

Overseeing building operations, identifying issues of concern, providing solutions, troubleshooting appliances, and building systems.
Conducting basic repairs, handling preventative maintenance tasks, and ensuring the integrity of exterior premises.
Mange the contracts for M&E.
Liaise with the health and safety team onsite and HQ to maintain compliance, including that of third-party services providers and maintenance records.
To oversee third party contracts to ensure the correct standard of service is provided in accordance with the agreed contract.
Take ownership of all repair request that come in through the Service Desk.
To compile and maintain all required management information/records relating to company, health and safety and other related records. This includes asset register, emergency plans and all related records and management reports.
To manage minor work programmes on site, acting as the liaison point for all parties involved.
To monitor FM works onsite and liaise with service providers/sub-contractors.
Assist the Facilities Director with the integration of new mergers and acquisitions.

About you

Previous technical facilities management experience including managing contractors and management service agreements as applicable.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
IT literate.
High degree and knowledge reference of Health and Safety legislation, environmental protection requirements and ideally IOSH or NEBOSH qualified.
Ability to work within a team and on own initiative and within a pressurised environment with excellent organisational and planning skills.
MWIFM qualification or working towards a qualification is desirable.
Building maintenance knowledge, attention to details, problem solving, teamwork, and organization and planning.
