To provide support to Facilities Services Operational teams in the delivery of a continuously improving high quality service.

Based within our transport department, these posts will be responsible for the transportation service of patients, escorts, staff, visitors and goods to Hospitals, Prisons, Courts and various other destinations as required by service users. Flexibility is essential, as the service need dictates a 24/7 coverage to accommodate patient movement.

These positions will be based in the Transport Department but will also be covering generic portering duties and working within the patient shop replenishing stock and preparing orders.

Working 5 days in a 7 day period, between the core hours of 06.00 – 22.00hrs, with weekend working required.

There is a requirement to participate in an “on call” service on a rotation basis to cover emergency patient movement out of hours.

The successful applicant will therefore require a basic knowledge of these services although some specific training and familiarisation can be given, the following details are essential
  • Full British Driving Licence.
  • Must hold C1 & D1 categories on driving license.
