Here at XPO Logistics, we’re currently recruiting for a full-time, permanent Facilities and QSHE Manager to join us at our Wellingborough site. You’ll be an integral part of our site management team, implementing quality, Health, Safety & environment (QSHE) requirements across to whole site. In addition, you’ll take overall responsibility of all maintenance requirements and monitoring all 3rd party maintenance providers.

What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Monitor on-site health and safety through the use of effective internal audits, risk assessments and regular training
  • Develop and lead the site health and safety strategy, consistently identifying opportunities and ideas for improvement
  • Develop site standard training packages, and develop and deliver ad-hoc bespoke training workshops and toolbox talks
  • Investigate site incidents and accidents.
  • Take the lead role on site with day to day management of 3rd party maintenance contractors; covering monitoring of jobs, cost/budget monitoring, legal and site compliance, input to site audits


What you need to succeed at XPO:


  • Proven health and safety management experience in a warehousing/transport operation
  • A NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent)
  • Experience of logistics and facilities management is desirable
  • Exposure to accident investigation, including full analysis and reporting
  • The ability and confidence to influence senior stakeholders on all aspects of health and safety
