Facilities Administrator
Binscombe Medical Centre is looking to recruit a Facilities Administrator to support the Management Team with the day-to-day running of the medical centre. The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week, preferably across 5 days, Monday-Friday, however we are flexible and willing to discuss at interview.
The post-holder will work closely with, and under the direction of, the Practice Manager & Assistant Practice Manager, and will be responsible for management of the building & facilities as well as health & safety, and a wide range of IT and administrative activity. The position is suitable for someone who wishes to demonstrate initiative and develop their own skills further.
The main purposes of the role are outlined below:
· To ensure the building and facilities are effectively maintained according to practice policies and procedures, and in line with regulations/legislation
· To undertake specific assigned tasks, project support, or development / change work which may arise from time to time
· To become familiar with all relevant aspects of the clinical software system in order to be able to provide a support role for other employees
· To manage data quality issues, providing support and guidance to practice staff & clinicians in the use of the clinical system to promote quality achievement
· The post-holder will need to be familiar with all functions of the clinical system and their applications, plus national and local quality standards for primary care

It is important that applicants have worked in an administrative position for at least 1 year. The role is heavily IT based and it is vital that applicants are skilled and knowledgeable in this area.
Experience from within a similar establishment is desirable but not essential. Our clinical system is EMIS and a good knowledge of the system would be advantageous, however full training will be given for the right candidate.
