To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Ideally Need

We are now seeking an Export Packer with Casemaking skills to join our brand new division within this successful organisation. This exciting opportunity to join our already busy new team will see your export packing and other practical skills used to ensure freight is expertly packed in custom-built crates which will have been constructed to exacting specifications.
  • Good carpentry and woodworking skills are an advantage, particularly pallet and/or casemaking
  • Experience in the safe use of rip/band/wall/cross/cut saws, hand held power tools, hot heat/glue guns
  • Experience in Export Packing. Hazardous/Dangerous Goods Packing experience an advantage.
  • Problem solving skills and an eye for detail
  • A flexible and adaptable approach and the ability to make a valuable contribution to this new division and service offering
  • To enjoy physical and varied work
  • Ability to produce computer generated paperwork
  • Great customer service skills
  • Current Driving Licence desirable in order to visit other local sites and potentially customer sites
  • Forklift Truck certificate would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure our customers’ specifications are being met and/or exceeded
  • The ability to remain calm in all circumstances
This is a permanent position and the hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00. Occasional additional hours may be required in accordance with business needs (overtime payable).

In Return, You Will Receive
  • £10.50-£12.00 an hour
