Cengage is seeking an experienced executive assistant for a permanent part-time role consisting of 21 hours per week.   • HE General Manager, Senior Director
  • ELT Director
  • HR Director
To assist in the coordination of events relevant to International Higher Ed and National Geographic Learning business units, to ensure suitable venues are sourced, vendors agreed and set up, and invoices processed.Key AccountabilitiesExecutive SupportThis position will have specific responsibility for providing a PA service to the above to include the following duties:
  • Organising and maintaining diaries and arranging meetings and making appointments
  • Screening telephone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling when appropriate
  • Preparing formal letters
  • Booking UK and international travel arrangements, hotel reservations, visas, luncheons and evening dinner appointments for the above personnel and direct reports
  • Booking taxis, rail travel, executive car travel, flights and other travel requirements to cost effective and best effect within the company travel policy guidelines for the above-mentioned roles as well as their direct reports when necessary
  • Managing expense claims
  • Securing annual subscriptions to online and print trade publications
Events Co-ordinationThis will include sourcing venues, providing onsite assistance, vendor set-up, and invoice processing for NGL conferences and events as well as assisting the Events Co-ordinator with EMEA events as needed.Key RelationshipsInternal: Senior management team, finance Department, HR departmentExternal: Event organisers, Travel companies, accommodationAuthorisation LimitsNot applicable.Travel RequirementsThis role is either fully remote or hybrid if local to Andover, Hampshire both with occasional travel to attend conferences/meetings.Essential Role RequirementsExperience/Achievements
  • An experienced executive personal assistant who has worked at a senior level for more than one senior level manager

  • Proven strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with people across all levels
  • Diplomacy, tact and forthrightness when required
