Events & Marketing Manager

Based at Porsche Experience Centre Silverstone, you will be responsible for the strategy, management and delivery of events on a corporate and internal Porsche Cars Great Britain (PCGB) basis.

You will also assume responsibility for the promotion of PEC Silverstone in general and retail and corporate experiences, specifically both in print and digital media.

The Porsche Experience Centre Silverstone (PEC) is a world-class driver development facility located within Silverstone Circuit, the home of British Motorsport.

PEC Silverstone became the blueprint for 8 subsequent international PECs in Le Mans, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Hockenheim, Franciacorta, Tokyo and soon to open, Toronto.

As our Events & Marketing Manager you will be responsible for:

• Development, planning and delivery of corporate/group business for Porsche within the PEC facility.
• Full logistics and delivery of group events.
• Management of all event systems and procedures.
• Management of all related supplier costs and venue relationships
• Preparation and amendment of external and internal new business client proposals, working within budgets.
• Ensuring client contracts are delivered as per terms, including management of payments
• Key point of contact for clients during on-site events, overseeing interdepartmental activities as well as logistics for any PEC involvement at off-site venues
• Ensure all event systems are fully operational and be familiar with user guidelines for all AV equipment
• Organise and attend meetings with external suppliers who have joint event responsibility.
• Ensure venue is set up as required, checking it is maintained throughout the day and all client needs are met
• Attending on-site meetings with PCGB departments regarding internal events as appropriate.
• Regular liaison with Operations & Programmes Manager to update the Porsche Experience Centre calendar and booking systems, detailing provisional and confirmed events
• Regular liaison with Chief Driving Consultant to ensure appropriate instructor resource applied to events
• Stock management of all events kit, ensuring re-ordering within adequate timelines
• Recruitment and supervision of PEC Events Intern
• Promotion of PEC event and retail activities, including Porsche Human Performance
• End to end management of PEC printed and digital marketing in liaison with Manager, PEC, PCGB Communications Team and relevant agency partners
• Conducting weekly event update meeting with PEC team to brief in event activity
• Conducting facility tours as required

In order to be successful in this role you must have:

• Experience in a similar marketing role.
• A degree in Marketing or similar qualification
• A thorough understanding of all functional marketing areas (Social, Digital, Advertising, Events, CRM)
• Experience in managing dealer communications
• Clear, concise communication style.
• Proactive nature, being a self-starter who will bring energy and enthusiasm
• Experience of hiring, training, and developing an events team

Whilst the majority of the event activity will be conducted at PEC Silverstone, there will be some event activity conducted at other venues in conjunction with the PCGB National Events team. With that in mind, a full, clean driving licence is essential.
