Team
The world of events has changed drastically over the last 18 months, and at Salesforce we have diversified our offering from not just in-person events but also virtual and now hybrid. You’ll be joining the newly formed UK&I Brand Experiences & Audience Engagement team. By bringing audience generation and strategic event delivery together, we are now able to follow and influence the journey of our event attendees from the very first touch point, to the actual event experience on the day, all the way through to the follow up. We measure everything we do, learn from each experience and innovate along the way. We are a small but mighty team, and we form part of the wider UK&I Marketing Team.

We are looking for a bright, fun, organised and creative individual with experience in in-person, virtual, and hybrid event delivery. This event analyst role will play a pivotal part in the success of the overall UK&I business, by supporting our larger strategic events as well as taking ownership of our run rate events which include hospitality, customer and prospect networking events, 3rd party industry conferences/trade shows, and co-branded partner events.

Responsibilities

  • Work with local and occasionally EMEA marketing teams to deliver high quality events to help raise brand and product awareness amongst targeted audiences.

  • Work with the UK&I campaigns team to understand their event needs and how they fit into their overall demand generation plans.

  • Manage and execute in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, including participation in 3rd party conferences and webinars.

  • Build and manage detailed project plans and timelines to ensure project is on track and goals are successfully met.

  • Coordinate all project deliverables, ensuring deadlines are communicated effectively, understood and successfully met by all internal and external stakeholders.

  • Liaise and manage agencies, vendors and stakeholders during the event planning process.

  • Taking the learnings from previous events to further streamline project management, bringing efficiency and innovation into our planning processes.

  • Manage annual events calendar documentation for the team & researching new event opportunities.


Required

  • Proven practical experience in a similar role, e.g. event-coordinator, event executive, event planner

  • Experience managing and successfully completing small event projects as the event lead

  • Understanding of different event models (virtual, hybrid, in-person) and some experience in their delivery

  • Experience of owning & managing budgets

  • Excellent organisational skills, enthusiastic & flexible working attitude

  • Ability to thrive both in an in-person team environment & when working remotely

  • Ability to work against tight deadlines and goals in a fast-paced environment whilst keeping a keen eye on detail and accuracy

  • Excellent (or Good?) verbal and written communication skills

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities

  • Occasional travel and out-of-hours work may be required (event days / event set-up)


Desired

  • General understanding / experience of audience generation processes

  • Awareness of GDPR regulations, specifically for UK & Ireland

  • Interest in data analytics to track progress on event registrations and ROI goals

  • Awareness of Salesforce tools
