CR Civil Engineering are a part ofRSK Group. We are a family run business. Our Head Office is based in Leicestershire, and we have regional offices in Rotherham, Derbyshire and South Wales.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join our team based in Loughborough, UK

The Role

Review, interpret and record tender requests. Liaise with clients on queries and produce detailed submissions within the required deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake estimates from first principles in accordance with Company procedures (value £100K - £10M).
  • Identify opportunity and risk during the tender process.
  • Create tender programmes using MS project, Asta Powerproject’s or similar software.
  • Help develop, mentor, and manage junior/trainee estimators.
  • Liaise with the tender Bid Manager and Procurement departments.
  • Oversee tender handover meetings with construction team.
  • Participate in Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) with our Bid/Construction Team and Clients.
  • Provide ongoing support to site teams relating to estimate and key assumptions.
  • Subcontractor engagement at tender stage, producing enquiries and assessing returns from supply chain.
  • Manage relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
  • Demonstrate willingness to undertake training and development.
Key Requirements
  • Experience in: Highways (Drainage & Earthworks), Water Industry, and Rail.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with various Contract Conditions: NEC3 & 4, JCT and ability to interpret risks.
  • Previous exposure to Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to adapt to estimating software and packages.
  • Full UK Licence as travel to sites and meetings will be required.
  • Strong communication skills.
