Estimator
Duties:
- Assist in preparation of accurate cost estimates for construction projects
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for estimates
- Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitiveness and accuracy
- Assist with creation of detailed take-offs based on construction drawings
- Assist with preparation of bid proposals for presentation to clients
- Completion of estimating administrative duties
Skills:
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques
- Excellent use of IT software including all Microsoft packages
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
To qualify for the graduate apprentice scheme you must have completed a HNC level qualification or higher within the past 4 years.
