The JobWe have a fantastic opportunity within Cumbria Constabulary’s Estates and Fleet Department for a motivated Trades Supervisor.
The role is to manage a team of five Semi-Skilled Operatives located across the force area who deliver maintenance and support services to the estate. You will need to efficiently support the training and development of the operatives by coaching and mentoring team members.
To achieve success you will need to be a positive leader with the ability to work collaboratively. You will have knowledge and experience of responsive building and engineering repairs, planned maintenance and managing small teams. It is critical that you can proactively liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure they are delivering a high quality service which best suits the objectives of the department.
You will work with other members of the team to deliver building maintenance and building work programmes to the Police Estate from inception through to completion, acting as part of the team serving our customers to maintain and refurbish their facilities.
You will need to have a knowledge of current building legislation and ideally hold an asbestos qualification.
The competitive starting salary is £26,865.00 per annum, starting on 23 days holiday per annum and we offer a flexible working scheme.
