ORAL HEALTH SUPPORT WORKER

Band 3: £21,709 - £23,603

21 hours per week – Part time, Permanent

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with well developed communication and organisational skills to join the Oral Health Improvement Team. Primarily, you will work alongside the oral health team in the school and nursery environment, monitoring the Childsmile National Toothbrushing Programme and delivering oral health talks to children.

At times, the postholder may also be required to work alongside the Oral Health and Health Visiting teams in the community, delivering oral health information to parents of young children. In addition, the postholder will provide administrative support to the Childsmile team. The postholder will also monitor the Childsmile toothbrushing programme in a designated number of schools and nurseries.

You will have the ability to work with people as part of a multi disciplinary team. You must be able to work both on your own and as part of a team carrying out tasks efficiently within a busy environment.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake the Childsmile training programme.

Full current driving licence and use of car for work purposes is essential.
