DNV Digital Solutions is a business focussed on delivering high-quality engineering software products to a wide variety of global customers. We are currently looking for a Software Implementation Lead to join our Consulting, Region Europe Middle East & Africa, Plant Integrity Management Team . This team implements the DNV Synergi Plant and Synergi Plant RBI software product for businesses across the region. The team is based across the EMEA region in UK, Poland, and UAE.

The successful candidate will principally be responsible for:
  • Technical delivery and leadership of DNV Synergi Plant/RBI software implementations across the EMEA region;
  • Pre-sales support to the Lead Consultant & sales team in developing new opportunities (e.g. customer sales meetings, solution development, proposal production);
  • Developing the skills of other team members where appropriate.
The implementation of Synergi Plant and Synergi Plant RBI, often with bespoke elements, requires significant configuration and hence the need for the post-holder to have strong computing skills including a background in programming and database configuration. The Synergi Plant/RBI core software product is developed by a separate team in the DNV Digital Solutions business and a high level of interaction will often be required with that team.

The post-holder will work closely with our most experienced Lead Consultants for Synergi Plant and Synergi Plant RBI. These consultants hold a high-level consultancy relationship with our customers and help shape solutions and delivery projects. This will provide an excellent opportunity to further develop wider consulting skills working alongside some of the business’ most highly respected global consultants.

Position Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant computer science/engineering/science discipline
  • We would expect the suitable candidate to have typically 10+ years in a relevant industry and with direct experience of technical software implementation for external customers
  • Knowledge of the oil & gas industry, energy industry & chemical process industries a distinct advantage
  • Exposure to the Asset Integrity Management and Asset Performance Management domains desirable but not essential
  • English language: good command of spoken and written language
  • Ability to travel across the EMEA region.
Key programming skills and experience requirements for the post-holder are as follows:

Computing and IT:

Architectures/environments:
  • Experience with web application architectures working with Microsoft IIS and connecting to Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases and APIs
  • Good database knowledge (installation, administration, troubleshooting, maintenance)
  • Ability to work with customer IT teams on web application installation, configuration, and administration
  • Desirable:
  • Experience with sizing customer IT environments for web application and database servers
  • Experience with Azure-hosted solutions, including establishing connections with third-party systems
  • Good understanding of application security guidelines and controls
Programming and tools:
  • Experience in building complex SQL statements and tuning to run efficiently
  • Experience with PL/SQL scripting
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and amend existing code.
  • Desirable:
  • Knowledge of C# and .NET Framework
  • Knowledge of a Visual Basic for Application (VBA) and Excel macros
  • Experience using APIs to achieve integration with third-party systems such as ERP and Process historians
  • Experience using dashboard building tools
Asset Integrity Management:
  • Exposure to technical/engineering software implementations within the energy/engineering industry or associated industries is highly desirable
  • Understanding of asset integrity and reliability domains and associated software systems (desirable)
Technical Leadership:
  • Technical leadership of software delivery and data migration projects with a focus on quality, time & cost
  • Customer-facing skills associated with gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, and delivering training
  • Mentoring skills
Pre-sales support:
  • Client-facing skills: ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders
  • Development of requirements and solutions matched to client needs, best practice, and product constraints
  • Credible support to the sales team in t echnical solution sales
  • Production of clear, concise, benefit-driven proposals
  • Support in the planning and costing of software delivery projects
