Network Team Lead - Network Operations Centre (NOC)

Commutable locations to Warwick

Up to £50,000 salary + benefits package

Shift pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off – rota 7am-7pm then 7pm-7am

Due to rapid growth within the Telecommunications and Networking divisions, we are now looking for a NOC / Network Team Leadwho works in a NOC / Network Operations Centre environment to head up and lead a team of Network Engineers near Warwick. We are considering candidates who are currently NOC Engineers who have a passion for "team leading".

This NOC / Network Team Lead role will see you overseeing Network Engineers who will be maintaining and monitoring the Network and IT Infrastructure systems within the NOC, using various systems such as System Operations Manager / Cisco Prime / SolarWinds. You will support NOC Network Engineers who will be providing 1st Line Support and 2nd Line Support services to ensure IT equipment and IT infrastructure is running at optimal performance.

Other responsibilities in this NOC / Network Team Lead position:

  • Ensure NOC Engineers fully understand the Incident, Event, Access, Request & Problem Management processes to deliver a high end customer experience
  • Assist in the coaching and mentoring of Network Operations Centre staff with regular one to one review meetings
  • Development of processes with aligned documentation against ITIL Best Practices
  • Provide technical improvement input into customer performance reports
  • Implement continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility
  • Ensure the team work in alignment with the technical framework and incident management processes

Key requirements / knowledge required or this NOC / Network Team Lead role:

  • MS Windows System Support exposure and experience
  • Possess a strong background in Network Engineering - LAN and WAN environments
  • Possess a strong understanding of core internet technologies - Routing & Switching, DNS and OSI
  • Experience of configuring and replacing Data Centre equipment / Servers / Switches / Firewalls
  • Experienced or has a strong knowledge of VMware technologies
  • ITIL Foundation (preferable)
  • Networking and infrastructure certifications or equivalent.

On offer is a salary of up to £50,000 per annum depending on your experience, with an additional benefits package.
