Job Description

Location – South of EnglandDepartment: IWT


We are looking for a Technical Engineer able to define, start-up, trouble-shoot our added value technologies in the field. Enthusiasm for looking the best solution for our customers, internal and external ones, advising the safest way to proceed with the state-of-art technologies.


Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist the Engineering team from the beginning of the opportunity/project, help to clarify the scope, identify/assess technical risks, and define the best technical solutions also creating competitive advantage for Solenis, as well as attending complex troubleshooting at customer site.
  • Supervise and/or take over onsite survey, conception, and basic design by making sure the best technical and economical compromise is reached between OPEX and CAPEX.
  • Evaluate specifications, check compliance with the PO requirement, set schedule execution and completion times, and staffing requirements for each phase of construction and/or equipment installation.
  • Define technical specification and procedures for each step of the project execution with Engineering team support, to assist the purchase department when issuing a PO to our sub-suppliers.
  • Inspect work in progress and eview project specifications and confer with internal and/or external Engineering /Services concerning assistance required such as plan preparation, acceptance testing, evaluation of field conditions, design changes, and reports. Inspect construction site to determine conformance of site to design specifications and equipment placement.
  • Assistance on existing OM contracts for troubleshooting and diagnostic, managing when needed internal or external resources.
  • Manage sub contractors relationship to ensure Solenis core drivers alignment.
  • Involvement in continuous improvement approach on existing Operation and Maintenance contracts, increasing Solutions Provider Strategy of our company.
  • Take over supervision of installation of new equipment at different site interacting with local workers, leading start-ups and signing off commissioning performance.

The Individual
  • Degree as Technical Engineer with proven experience in water process selection, designing and implementation of water treatment systems and chemical injections packages, with 1-2 years’ with Electrical and Automation capabilities.
  • Mechanical Engineer with 2-4 water treatment experience can be also considered.
  • Have a good knowledge of mechanical, piping, electrical, materials and their compatibility with most common chemicals and specialties.
  • Be familiar with control & monitoring instrumentation, remote and local modes; DIGITAL as a must for project implementation.
  • Awareness of most used international standards and norms required for equipment construction and certification.
  • Fluency in English
  • Flexible to travel 50% working time as an average of a year.
  • The successful candidate must have a valid driving license.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
