We are looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable, and autonomous Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Trainer to deliver high quality training to support the implementation of the EPR Programme for the Trust, including development, design and adaption of training manuals/materials and ensure these are managed accurate and up to date.

They will provide education and support to all staff groups enabling them to engage with and understand optimal workflows and patient safety features available in the core EPR. As a EPR trainer you will be responsible for the delivery of core EPR training.

The post holder will play a key role in the planning, development and delivery of a range of comprehensive training courses that will focus on improving the use of information technology by all staff and enable healthcare professionals to access, interpret and make better use of the new EPR system.

  • To deliver high quality training to support the implementation of the EPR Programme for the Trust, including development, design and adaption of training manuals/materials and ensure these are managed accurate and up to date.
  • To actively promote the use of systems within the Trust encouraging both data completeness and data quality and to raise the importance of relevant data collection for statutory and local reporting.
  • To troubleshoot user queries during the early life of deployment and to escalate issues to appropriate Service teams for resolution.
  • To provide early life deployment support to wards including the troubleshooting of issues.
  • To escalate issues to Service teams and provide responses to users, including workarounds and bug fixes.
  • To communicate with staff to promote the benefits of the EPR Programme and wider digital programme.
  • To undertake the development of effective EPR Training Needs Analysis to determine the training needs of the organisation. Utilise training needs and analyse data to inform and direct changes or refinements in existing training provision to the Trust and then plan, design and develop the training programmes to meet these needs.
  • Develop and maintain good communications with staff on complex training and system matters. This will be carried out verbally, in writing and through workshops and delivery of training sessions.
  • Responsibility for the management and administration of training, training facilities and equipment, including the establishment and maintenance of staff and training records.
  • Assess user competency following training and take appropriate action in line with the results, communicating with appropriate management.
  • Evaluate end user feedback of training courses and provide constructive suggestions to improve course content and delivery.
  • Responsible for the administration of course evaluations, evaluate attendees performance, feedback on training courses and provide constructive suggestions to ensure that responses are incorporated in future training provision.
  • To provide the Training Manager with appropriate support to ensure that EPR training is appropriate to support the requirements of the Trust.
