We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic professional to join our busy Environmental Protection Team within the Public Protection Service Area.

Your primary function will be to act as the Councils lead officer for Environmental Permitting. Your role will be to ensure decisions are made on sound technical grounds, within the required timeframes and ensuring appropriate standards and requirements are met. You will also support and mentor other team members in relation to this work area.

You will need to have a good working knowledge of the Environmental Permitting Sector, good customer care skills and the ability to communicate effectively with businesses and members of the public to influence behaviour and outcomes.
