Role Purpose:

To support the definition, articulation and governance of the E2E B2B Architecture across local markets and global business functions supporting our business customers globally. The focus area will be enterprise architecture for the domain of Business Operations (ref.to V-ODA Framework). At Corporate level the Business Operations Corporate IT Systems is covering the main areas of group FIN, SCM and HR based on an SAP core system, group-wide consumer services on behalf of the local markets. The support should provide both at Corporate and Local Markets for the Business Ops Domain.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating target state and interim state architectures
  • Define and maintain IT Roadmap for the Group Functions
  • Creating value driven capability roadmaps
  • Reviewing, aligning, and governing local market and global business function solutions
  • Maintaining reference architectures
  • Driving innovation
  • Shaping new demand, aligning it to our target architecture and manage long term roadmaps and solution catalogues
  • Provide architectural guidance to project team and ensure compliance of solution architectural design to the VF enterprise architecture guidelines and principles
  • Support: Provide Expertise and issue management in crisis situations for project teams with regards to architecture issues.

With us you will:

  • Participate in the creation / maintenance of overall Enterprise Architecture Deliverables including Strategy and Reference Architectures coordinating input from diverse Architecture Stakeholders
  • Participate in the creation, ownership, and maintenance and publish the IT Architecture and Strategy, Work with Local Market Architecture Leads to align local strategy, architecture and roadmap to the overall IT Architecture and Strategy, Enterprise Data Model and IT Roadmap.
  • Work with local markets and group technology teams to roll out Digital organisations (building inner source communities, co-creating Architecture Blueprints, supporting the rollout and optimisation of DevOps tooling and Agile methods and organisation)
  • Participate in the design and execution of Architectural Governance across the relevant stakeholders and participating Vodafone organisations
  • Produce, Support & Guide the Delivery of Target, Transitional and Solution Architectures for business and IT transformation deliveries through the appropriate Architectural Artefacts, Deliverables and Communications

Apply if you have:

  • Capability to articulate and define complex architectures in a simple way to stakeholders underpinned by a structured analytical approach and high-quality Architectural Artefacts and Deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken). Able to gain influence at senior levels across Vodafone Local Markets, Partners and Affiliates, Suppliers putting across complex ideas in a simple way. Specific experience and demonstrable capability around the effective presentation of Architecture concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Industry experience in Telecoms and rolling out solutions in a large enterprise scale with preferable experience in cloud engineering and API driven architectures. Knowledge of SAP will also be valued.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering on projects that span multi-disciplinary areas, preferably in a large telecommunications and/or Digital organisation with Enterprise Architecture, Business and IT environments.
  • Sound overall knowledge of applications, integration, and data architecture methodologies and industry best practices with a special focus on cloud solutions.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
  • Academic Degree qualified
  • Be aware of and capable of using Telecoms, IT Industry and Enterprise Architecture Best Practice methodologies, process, function and data maps such as those used by TM Forum, or defined by ITIL, TOGAF, BPMN, UML etc.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in cloud solutions and platform with focus on GCP and AWS
  • Cloud platform (or other relevant technology) certification, AWS and/or GCP
  • SAFe for Architects training/certification/practise will be a plus
  • SAP Architecture knowledge
