Core Teachers are delighted to announce that we have an opening for an English Teacher in a reputable Secondary school in Hunger Hill, Bolton. The role is a temporary to permanent position, with a start date in September 2023. Both experienced and newly qualified English teachers are encouraged to apply for this role, as there is a strong core of long tenured staff available to provide support to a candidate if required. The school is popular in the Bolton area with a great reputation for looking after their staff and providing continuous progression opportunities within the school. A recent Ofsted inspection saw the school rated “Good” across all categories. In terms of the commute, the school has great transport links with a generous car park for those who drive. This role would suit someone who wants to have their first experience within a secondary school environment, or someone looking for their next role. If you are successful in your application as an English Teacher, you would be responsible for:-Preparing and delivering lessons to a range of classes, in line with the National Curriculum to Key Stage 3 and GCSE classes.
  • Closely monitoring and assessing student progress.
  • Incorporating a variety of teaching methodology to actively engage pupils.
  • Be adaptable and flexible due to the range of ages you will be responsible for teaching.
  • Building strong, supportive relationships with parents and carers of pupils. To join us and enjoy success in this role as an English Teacher you will:
  • Have strong subject knowledge and experience teaching English in a classroom setting.
  • Have a relevant teaching qualification, such as a PGCE in English, BA Hons or B.Ed., with Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Currently have, or be able to pay for, an Enhanced DBS Certificate on the update service, 2x professional references and overseas police clearance checks (if applicable).
